Person-Centred Approaches Program

The Person-Centred Approaches Program is a program of professional development, specifically focused on preparing the non-government disability sector for the new world under the NDIS. It aims to build the capacity of organisations to work in person-centred and individualised ways, embedding a human rights approach to all practice within the sector.

Human Rights Resources

This training program is designed to educate disability support workers on what human rights are and how they can be applied practically day to day. The training can be found online on carecareers.

A Training Guide for Managers [ Word 68KB] has been developed to support managers and organisations to reinforce and build on disability support workers' understanding of human rights. It complements the e-learning program and may support a range of practices within an organisation. This may include; performance planning and appraisals; ongoing professional development; group training sessions or team meetings.
